Raising menopause awareness
Spiced Pear are an online menopause clinic operating in the UK. They asked Armadillo Social to create their brand identity, voice and manage the creation of their website and social media content.
We put together a team of creatives to work on the brand, who all happened to be fabulous women in their 40s, and created a brand we’re really proud of.
6 months social media was created, to coincide with the launch of Davina McCall’s Channel 4 documentary on the menopause in order to gain maximum exposure and engagement.
Breaking menopause stigma
Much of the content created, both visual and copy, was about making women feel more comfortable talking about the menopause. We wanted to ensure that women felt their concerns would be take seriously and they didn’t have to just put up with symptoms, whether physical or emotional.
We created website which focussed on the doctors themselves, as women in their 40s who had extensive knowledge but were also empathetic and approachable. The blog content was then created as an information hub, to provide more detailed information on specific aspects of the menopause and more background information to think about before an appointment.
The social media activity focussed on raising the menopause as an issue and recognising that women have been underserved and under informed in the past. We sought to join the conversation and encourage women to aim higher.
